Apple Vision Pro Pre-Orders Introduce Face ID Scan for Precise Fit

In a recent email to customers, Apple has revealed an innovative step in the pre-order process for its upcoming Apple Vision Pro, set to launch on February 2. Beginning January 19, customers opting to pre-order the high-tech headset will be required to perform a Face ID scan using their iPhone or iPad. This step aims to ensure a precise and comfortable band fit on the Vision Pro.

Apple enthusiasts will need to utilize the latest version of the Apple Store app for the face scan procedure. This marks a significant integration of Apple’s advanced Face ID technology to personalize the fitting of the headset. The Face ID scan during pre-orders aligns with Apple’s commitment to delivering a seamless and tailored experience to its users.

U.S. customers eager to secure their Vision Pro can make pre-orders on apple.com, through the Apple Store app, or by visiting retail Apple Stores. The delivery of pre-ordered headsets is scheduled to commence alongside the official launch on February 2.

For those who wear glasses, Apple has considered their needs by offering an option to include optical inserts in the headset. This allows users to comfortably wear the Vision Pro without their eyewear. Customers can opt for an additional fee and will be required to share an updated official prescription document during the pre-order process. The partnership with Zeiss ensures the quality and precision of these optical inserts.
