The iPhone 16 series is around the corner, and recent rumors have speculated a potential difference in battery capacities compared to previous iPhone series. Leaker Majin Bu has provided insights into the battery specifications for several models within the iPhone 16 lineup, suggesting both increases and decreases in capacity depending on the model.
According to Majin Bu’s leaks, the iPhone 16 Pro Max is expected to feature a substantial increase in battery capacity compared to the iPhone 15 Pro Max. This enhancement aligns with the speculated increase to the iPhone 16 Pro Max’s display size from 6.7 to 6.9 inches. Majin Bu notes an additional change with the absence of the L-shaped battery configuration typical in previous models.
In contrast, rumor has it that the iPhone 16 Plus may have a slight decrease compared to the iPhone 15 Plus. As far as the iPhone 16 base model, its expected that the battery capacity will notably increase compared to the base model of the iPhone 15 series.
Other speculations hint at advanced camera technologies such as a periscope camera for the iPhone 16 Pro and a super telephoto periscope camera for the Pro Max variant. Apple is also anticipated to introduce generative AI features aimed at enhancing user experience and competing more effectively with leading Android devices.
While these leaks are received with a degree of skepticism, considering Majin Bu’s sometimes unreliable track record. The speculations will be either confirmed or denied shortly when Apple releases the iPhone 16 series.
